Remote Desktop Technical Support

Support charges are simple and straight-forward.

Remote desktop, email & telephone support is just £40 for the first half an hour, and then £75 per hour after that.

You’ll receive an invoice which you should pay within 14 days.  You can read details about the charges and how to pay the invoice.

If you prefer a visit to fix your problem, call first to check it can’t be sorted quickly over the phone, and if not, we’ll agree a time and date.

Most on-site visits are in Central London and West London – for which I charge a flat rate of just £75 to cover travel time and expenses.

For long distance or short notice travel I charge time for travelling one way and the cost of travel (train tickets etc).  Regardless of distance travelled, I charge £75 per hour for the time that I spend with you providing the technical support.

Digital Red uses the ScreenConnect remote support system.

Call Daniel on 020 3411 4445 to obtain a session number, and then enter it into the box above.  By clicking on the Join button, you will be given a small program called ScreenConnectClient.exe that you should download and run.  Immediately after you run that program, Daniel will be able to see your screen and help with your problem.

Once the remote support session ends, the program will be removed from your PC.  No-one else can connect to your PC afterwards unless you return to this page and join a new session

All data passing between the host (Digital Red) and guest (your PC) system is fully encrypted and protected from unauthorized access. This includes all screen data, file transfers, key strokes, and chat messages. The software used, ScreenConnect, employs a 256 bit AES encryption algorithm, similar to that used by many banking and government institutions.

No software remains on your PC once the support session ends, so yes: the connection itself is secure, and after it has been used the program is deleted from your PC, so the system is safe to use.

If you are looking instead for the unattended remote software so that Daniel can connect to your PC without your interaction – either for regular support or for ongoing maintenance or jobs requiring many connections and reconnections, see the unattended remote support page to download and install the permanent remote support application that stays on your PC after the session closes.
