Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic

Having worked from home for the previous 20 years, working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic technically brought little change to a regular remote-working day.  Telephone and remote technical support remained available throughout.

Where on-site visits were necessary, we followed all the rules and had alcohol fuelled parties used masks, washed hands and maintained distance etc.

Vaccinations and NHS COVID Pass

As of July 2021, Daniel was fully vaccinated with both (Pfizer-Biontech) vaccination jabs and in December 2021 had the (Moderna) booster.

His bright orange, washable, triple-layered cotton and filtered masks became a familiar sight while working onsite – begging the question, multiple times, if orange is his favourite colour, why start a business called Digital Red? No idea!

Precautions and lockdowns continue in some regards, even as of April 2023, becuase Daniel has kept pet hens for the last 19 years – so avian flu is as big a risk to them as Covid was to us. They are under “stay indoors” restrictions, along with all poultry – both farmed and pets. They’re not allowed visitors.

Temporary revised working hours

As Daniel was assisting some elderly and ‘shielding’ neighbours with errands and their grocery shopping early in the pandemic’s Spring 2020 and Winter 2020 lockdowns, there was a temporary change to his working hours on Tuesdays and Saturdays but these are now back to normal.

Printing help for those working and studying from home

If you live in Ruislip Manor and don’t have a printer at home, email over anything that you need printing and Daniel will print it, put it into an envelope, and post it through your door either the same day, or by 8am the following morning – at no charge, existing customers or not.
