Holiday

redarrows

Hello,

This is a quick note to you know that I won’t be answering the phone and probably won’t see any emails that you send because I’m on holiday.  I’m away all week, Monday 24th August to Friday 28th August inclusive.

While I am away I will not have access to my computer (or remote control to your computer).  I’ll have my mobile phone with me, but not reading emails as they arrive.  I’ll reply to urgent-looking emails when I see them, and the rest – along with any messages left on my office phone voicemail – when I get back on Monday 8th September.

If you have an urgent problem, please call (or better, text) me on my mobile and I’ll do what I can to help.  I’m intentionally not listing my mobile number here because if you really need me for something you’ll either already have it, or would be able to easily find it.

For anything urgent that can’t wait, you can call:

  • Google Enterprise Support on 020 7881 4790 (for Google Apps email, calendar and contacts)
  • Microsoft Office 365 support on 020 3450 6455
  • Sage support on 0845 111 5555 (if you have Sage Cover)
  • Novatech Business Support on 023 9232 2580 (for problems with Novatech-built PCs, give the account number DIG038)
  • Zen Internet technical support on 01706 902 009 (for ADSL/fibre internet connection problems if you use Zen)
  • BT broadband technical support on 0845 600 7020 (for business) or 0330 123 4567 (for residential)
  • Samaritans on 0845 790 9090
The service status pages for the services on which most people depend are at these links: FastmailGoogle AppsOffice 365FreethoughtDropboxZen InternetBT BroadbandSkype, Sage DriveSipgate – check those first, because if something’s not working properly, it could be them rather than you.

I won’t be reading emails as they arrive but will reply to urgent-looking emails when I see them, and the rest – along with any messages left on my office phone voicemail – on Tuesday 1st September (Monday being a bank holiday).  I’ll have a laptop with me, but hope not to use it: I’ll bring back a wooden spoon for anyone who has me use it unnecessarily 🙂

I’m sure we’ll speak after I get back.
